The ground rules for using this website, giving online and booking events — kept short and in plain language.

About these terms

These terms apply when you use www.connexionschurch.org.za, the website of Connexions Church Randfontein, a member church of the Assemblies of God South Africa (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. They were last updated 12 October 2026.

How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy notice.

Using the website

You’re welcome to use this site to find out about the church, listen to messages, sign up for events, give and get in touch. Please don’t:

  • send spam, abusive or misleading messages through the forms;
  • try to break into, overload or interfere with the website or its admin area;
  • use automated tools to copy the site or harvest people’s details from it.

We may block anyone who misuses the site.

Messages, photos and content

The sermons, text, photos, logos and design on this site belong to Connexions Church Randfontein or are used with permission.

  • Please share links to our messages and pages freely, and listen to or download messages for your own use.
  • Please don’t republish, edit, sell or use our messages, photos or logo for other purposes without asking us first.

Forms and prayer requests

  • Please give accurate details so we can get back to you.
  • Prayer requests are read by our pastors and prayer team. They’re prayed for in confidence, and requests marked confidential go to the pastors only.
  • This website isn’t an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, phone 10111 (police) or 112 from a cellphone. Our pastors are glad to talk and pray with you, but we aren’t a substitute for medical, legal or professional counselling advice.

Giving

  • Gifts are voluntary donations to the church’s work — they aren’t payment for goods or services. All amounts are in South African rand.
  • Online payments are processed by PayFast under its own terms. We never receive your card details.
  • Mistakes: if you give the wrong amount, or the same gift twice, contact us within 30 days and we’ll refund it.
  • Regular gifts (monthly, every three months or yearly) carry on until you stop them. You can stop one any time with the link in your emails or by contacting us; stopping it doesn’t refund gifts already made.
  • Section 18A tax receipts are issued only for gifts that qualify, and only when you give us the details SARS requires. It’s your responsibility to make sure they’re correct.
  • Gifts are used for the fund you choose. If that fund is closed or over-supplied, the church’s leadership may use the gift where the need is greatest.

Events and tickets

  • A booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email — for paid tickets, once PayFast confirms your payment. Places are held for 30 minutes while you pay.
  • Some tickets are for certain ages or for women or men only; please book the right ticket for each person.
  • If we cancel an event, we’ll refund what you paid in full.
  • If you can’t come, please let us know as soon as possible so we can give your place to someone else. Refunds in that case are at our discretion.
  • We may change an event’s details (such as times or venue) if we have to; we’ll let you know by email.
  • Your QR ticket is your entry — please don’t share it.

The site links to and shows content from other services, such as Podbean, PayFast, Google Maps, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and SnapScan. We aren’t responsible for their content or how they work, and their own terms apply.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we can’t promise that it will always be online, error-free or up to date (service times and events can change). As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss that comes from using the site or not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
